Wii Sports/Wii Play (Wii)

So the inlaws were up today, and bizarrely they wanted to have a look at my Wii. They’ve not really taken an interest in games before (aside from Buzz! a couple of years ago), so it was a bit out of the blue. I showed them Wii Sports first, and played bowling and tennis, and then we played Wii Play, on the shooting, pool and (most video-gamey) the cow-riding games. And now they’re going to buy one themselves!

How to play import Wii games

Thanks to the mysterious (and sexy) The Goat Keeper, I’m now the not-so-proud owner of a US version of the Wii stinker “Heatseeker”. Of course, I knew it was going to be rubbish, but that wasn’t the point. No – I needed something to test if my UK Wii could play imports. And, of course, it can: I show that the disc isn’t recognised by the Wii, then fire up the Homebrew Channel and from there load Gecko OS. One …
